Spark! Pro Series - Black Edition - November 24th 2023 Spiceworks Originalsīeing black Friday, I veer from my normally happy, nobody dies to events more dark and somewhat disturbing.Because of Knox/MDM, I can't restore from a google accou. Things are working well.I am trying to come up with a solution for backing up the call logs, contacts and text messages. Hi, I am using Samsung phones and ManageEngine's MDM+ deployed from Knox. Is there a way in group policy to do this? The best I have found is hiding the sound icon from the task bar, but ideally I would like it to stay there, as some people have a habit of removing the audio cable for a ipod, and not plugging it back it, so the sound output switches to the HDMI cable and needs to be manually changed (unless that can be set via group policy as well!), and I like to use it to see if sound is coming out and what the levels are so we can adjust the sound desk.Įdit- the machine is currently running windows 7, but we would be looking for something that works in windows 10 as well.Įdit 2- Whilst I have put group policy, I would be happy with a registry fix as well, but would like to avoid third party software if possible, as I reinstall the machine to keep it fresh as so many people use it, so want it to be as automatic as possible please Ideally I would like the user to be able to mute the sound, just not change the level of the sound. we would want it changed on the actual sound desk fader, rather than the computer itself. the reason being that the sound system is set up for it to be at this level, and if it goes louder it distorts the sound, or lower we can't hear it. The situation is we have a computer connected up to a sound system, and we want to set the sound level on the computer to 80, and prevent the user from changing it. Before I start, I would like to say I have googled this query, and the answers that were coming back was this isn't possible, but all the posts were from 2013 or earlier that I could find, so hoping that there might be an updated solution out there.
